Belly Laughs With Andy Reid takes a weekly look at the weird and wonderful brains of NFL coaches, because whether they’re burying game balls or taking their timeouts home to make sweet love to them, they’re doing something fucking stupid. Belly Laughs With Andy Reid: Week Nine
NFL coaches are supposed to act like politicians (God forbid) or CEOs (according to the media and their bosses, who are actual CEOs) and behave accordingly. Mind your Ps and Qs, be polite, smile for the cameras, sell apparel. Well, some perform this part of the job better than others, and that makes them all the more entertaining and human.
Bill O’Brien of the Texans is a notorious hot head and is unafraid to say what he thinks, even to a star quarterback like Tom Brady.
On Sunday, Billy O showed us yet again he’s not a robot assembled at an NFL head coach factory and why he’s so hard to root against.
At the end of the first half in the Houston Texans-Denver Broncos game, Denver head coach Vance Joseph elected to attempt a 63-yard field goal, which was subsequently missed with enough time on the clock for the Texans to drive and attempt and make their own field goal.
Billy celebrated in typically understated fashion.
For those not versed in lip reading, he said “Nice job Vance, you dumb fuck!”
So here’s to you Billy O, the world could do with less politicians (especially this week) and more foul-mouthed, meathead, angry football coaches like you.
Also your chin is pretty fucking weird.
